Scott R. Trout, CPA
President
Rita R. James, CPA
Rita is the co-founder and shareholder of the firm.
She officially retired in 2016.
Scott is the founder and shareholder of the firm.
He has over 36 years experience in public accounting specializing in small businesses, business consulting, preparation of financial statements and tax return preparation for businesses and individuals.
Scott earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from West Chester University.
Prior to being in his own public practice he was in private and public accounting specializing in real estate and financial investments. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Scott resides in Harleysville, PA with his wife Debbie and has three adult children, Michael, Alyson and Daniel.
She had over 22 years experience in public accounting specializing in small businesses formation, not-for- profit formation, tax return preparation for businesses, not-for- profits and individuals.
Rita is a Quickbooks Professional Advisor and provides training in Quickbooks.
Rita earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Ursinus College. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Rita is enjoying her retirement in Skippack, PA with her husband Bill and enjoys spending time with her children and nine grandchildren

Ashley Giunta, CPA

Daniel Trout, CPA
Managing Director
Ashley has been at Trout, James & Associates since 2014 and has 11 years of experience in public accounting. She started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers with an internship doing personal income tax returns.
Ashley earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at St. Joseph’s University and then went to work full time at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Philadelphia.
Throughout her time at PwC she worked with large corporations doing specialty tax projects which included transaction costs analyses, research and development tax credit studies and fixed asset / depreciation analyses. Ashley also spent a large portion of her time at PwC working on income tax provisions which included auditing financial statements and helping her client prepare their income tax provision.
Ashley lives in Lafayette Hill, PA with her husband Michael and two daughters, Alessandra and Francesca,and two sons Mikey & Luca.
Dan has been an associate of the firm since 2016. He graduated from Souderton Area High School in 2016. He performs various compliance services including individual and corporate tax preparation in addition to Quickbooks write ups. He assists with business formations and small business consulting.
Daniel graduated from Saint Joseph's University in 2020 with a Bachelors of Business Administration, degree in Accounting. Since graduation he spent 4+ years working as a Big 4 accounting associate at KPMG US. Simultaneously, he passed all 4 exams to become a Certified Public Accountant in September of 2021.
Subsequently, Dan has continued his education to expand his core competencies into personal finance and retirement planning.
Dan leads our client relationship management and community outreach efforts for the firm

Stacia has been with the firm since 2010. She performs various compliance services for clients including client write-up, bookkeeping, payroll support, payroll taxes and sales
tax. She also prepares personal tax returns.
Stacia leads the firms marketing and social media efforts. Follow along with all the firms news, tax updates and philanthropy on Instagram, X (Twitter) and TikTok.
Stacia has a Liberal Arts - Social Science Associate degree. She lives in Royersford with her husband Bill and their two children Jack and Lily.
Patrick DeSanta joined the firm back in 2024 as a intern and has excelled to our administrative/IT lead position. He is a 2013 graduate of Souderton Area High School.
He is currently studying at Bucks County Community College working towards a Business Administration degree with a focus on Computer Science.
He maintains our office doing duties like setting up meetings, handling the phones, and all office and administrative needs. Pat is the go-to person to make life easier for our CPAs. With 10 years of customer service under his belt, Patrick aims to meet the expectations of our clients’ needs with exceptional service.

Yuliia began working with the firm as an intern in February 2025. After excelling during her internship, she has joined the firm in a part-time position as she continues to complete her undergraduate studies. She is currently majoring in Business Administration at Montgomery County Community College and plans to transfer to Temple University to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a minor in Analytics.
Yuliia assists with document preparation, organization and helping to ensure client information is properly processed and workflows remain efficient. Additionally, she prepares individual tax returns and her detailed-oriented approach has been beneficial to our clients. As she continues to gain real-world accounting experience, we look forward to her being a continuous asset to our firm and you, our clients.
Christian joined the firm in 2023 as an intern. After graduating from Penn State Abington with a Bachelors of Science in Accounting he joined the firm as a staff accountant. He prepares business write ups, Individual tax return preparation, and assists business owners with bookkeeping.
He has a passion for helping small business owners as he grew up working directly with family members operating their own small business. As he continues his career in accounting, he looks to expand upon his degree and is currently preparing to take the CPA exams. He enjoys spending time at Lake Nockamixon with family, traveling with his wife, and is an avid Eagles fan.
